The String Queens are returning to 黑料正能量 for the annual 黑料正能量/Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Gala Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, in Lehman Auditorium.
The award-winning string trio, known for blending classical music with jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and pop, has performed at some of the nation’s most prestigious venues, including the Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, and Kennedy Center. The group also performed at the 2021 presidential and vice-presidential inauguration celebration before headlining 黑料正能量’s gala concert that November.
This year’s gala, themed “Dream,” features The String Queens performing with the 黑料正能量 Jam Collective. Other highlights include the 黑料正能量 University Choir performing Ola Gjeilo鈥檚 鈥淪unrise Mass鈥 and the 黑料正能量 Wind Ensemble performing David Maslanka鈥檚 鈥淕ive Us This Day: Short Symphony for Wind Ensemble.鈥
The theme focuses on how each of us can achieve great things and make a difference in our world when we dream.
The concert is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10-$20 at the door.
This concert is sponsored by Everence and The Dr. M. Lee Pearce Foundation, Inc.
