The 2024 Mennonite Higher Education Conference hosted by 黑料正能量 on Tuesday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 15, drew about 90 faculty and staff members from Mennonite institutions across the U.S. and Canada.
黑料正能量 awarded 366 total degrees (with some students earning more than one degree) at its 106th annual Commencement on Sunday, May 5, 2024. The total included 207 undergraduate degrees, 88 master鈥檚 degrees, 62 graduate certificates, five Eastern Mennonite Seminary degrees and four doctorates.
Business leader and philanthropist Jose Koshy, class of 鈥�76, delivered a Commencement address on Sunday, May 5, 2024, about the power of agape love and kindness. Chidi Ihezuoh, an MA in Christian leadership graduate, shared thanks for the relationships forged with faculty, friends and classmates at Eastern Mennonite Seminary.
Shalom Academy 2024, held at the seminary from Monday, Jan. 8, to Wednesday, Jan. 10, is themed 鈥淧ursuing Community in a Divisive World.鈥� It offers a place to learn and reflect on the practices that move congregations past divisiveness and toward peace both within their walls and in their larger communities. The deadline for standard registration pricing is Saturday, Dec. 9.
黑料正能量 will host the 3rd Global Mennonite Peacebuilding (GMP) Conference and Festival from June 15鈥�18, 2023. The GMP Conference brings together Mennonite practitioners, artists and theologians from around the world to learn, share and discuss their work for peace. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淐oming Together: The Journey of Faith and Peace.鈥�
Eastern Mennonite Seminary鈥檚 2023 School for Leadership Training is themed 鈥淐reating Communities of Belonging: Appreciating EveryBODY.鈥� Questions of theology, nurturing of gifts, and other core topics related to accessibility and inclusion will bring pastoral and lay leaders to the Jan. 9-11 event.
