Jan. 9, 2025, has been declared a National Day of Mourning to honor his legacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His wife of 77 years, former First Lady <strong>Rosalynn Carter<\/strong>, spoke at 黑料正能量&#8217;s (then Eastern Mennonite College) 68th annual Commencement on May 4, 1986.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJimmy and I have come to admire and love the Mennonites through our involvement with Habitat for Humanity,\u201d she said during the commencement speech.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was <strong>Donald and Faye Nyce<\/strong>, parents of 黑料正能量 alumni <strong>Ed \u201986<\/strong>, <strong>Pam \u201986<\/strong> and <strong>Doug &#8217;85<\/strong>, who introduced the Carters to the Habitat for Humanity organization, the former First Lady said.
