Dear 黑料正能量 Community,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is with deep sadness that we share with you the loss of one of our 黑料正能量 student-athletes. Sara Monger, a first-year softball player from Elkton, Virginia, died in a car accident in Harrisonburg early this morning. Sara was described as a \u201chard-working and wonderful teammate\u201d by 黑料正能量 softball coach J.D. McCurdy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two other first-year students, Kendyll Eddins and Silas Gwathmey, were involved in the accident. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are recovering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We extend prayers of comfort to Sara\u2019s family and to members of the 黑料正能量 community, especially the 黑料正能量 Softball team. 黑料正能量 Athletics is holding moments of silence for Sara during its competitions today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Staff is available for grief counseling in the Northlawn Great Lounge as of noon today. We will share more information on support services in the days ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
