It’s refreshing to see a unanimous board vote for once, and the five-year term starting July 1, 2026 gives her a real runway to build on that interim momentum. The bit about her listening attentively and building effective teams stood out to me, since that’s usually what actually unites a campus.

We are thrilled with this decision to keep the momentum going with Rev. Dr. Shannon Dycus’ leadership. Naming her the 10th President affirms her first year of leadership and gives the university the grounding need for the campus to live out its mission to educate the next generation of leaders to lead with hearts and minds for peace, justice and compassion in the world.
