Cindy interned at and served for many years on the staff of the Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual (WATER) in Silver Spring, Maryland. We extend our love and congratulations to her on this well-deserved award. She embodies justice and promotes peace. We applaud for recognizing its own values lived out by this distinguished alumna. Long may she minister! Mary E. Hunt and Diann L. Neu, Co-directors

I’m grateful for the recognition that is giving to Cindy for leadership she has brought to the Hyattsville congregation. I live at Landis Homes in Lititz, PA, but I’ve followed Cindy’s journey at Hyattsville through friends who attend there, and also through her involvement with Mennonite Action. Another good connection to Cindy is through her dad Jim Lapp and Mim Book who are residents at Landis Homes and are also members of my home congregation, East Chestnut Street Mennonite in Lancaster.
