MA in Biomedicine Graduate Student Research Oral Presentation & Defense

On Saturday, December 5th, five second-year students in the MA in Biomedicine program presented and defended their thesis projects. 聽These students have been diligently working on their thesis projects since the Summer of 2015. 聽 Throughout the presentations, the students provided the audience with an introduction/background information, methods&materials, data analysis&results, conclusions, limitations, and potential future studies. 聽Below are the names and titles of the presentations:

  • Hannah Bell: 聽鈥淲omen鈥檚 Awareness of Risk Factors Linked to Breast Cancer in Harrisonburg, Virginia鈥
  • Vip Nayani:聽鈥淭he Effect of Collegiate Athletic Training Duration on Athlete Injury Incidence at Eastern Mennonite聽University鈥
  • Tareq Yousef:聽鈥淐ost Analysis of Dental Services Before and After the Implementation of the Affordable Care Act in the聽Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area and the Shenandoah Valley Region of Virginia鈥
  • Jared Fernandez:聽鈥淐arcinogenic Compounds Created by the Vaporization of Electronic Cigarette Liquid: Effects of Variable聽Voltage within the Modified Electronic Cigarette鈥
  • Rachel Thomas:聽鈥淎 Data Analysis on Demographic Information of Patients with ADHD at Harrisonburg Family Practice鈥
